±b3 GAME-SWAPPERS×
±b3 DESTROY THE SCENE×
±22By Mystra/Stone Arts
±41Lately, we have seen a lot of articles
about crackers, and their influence on
the Scene. But are they the only
responsible ones for the
game-companies' desisions to drop the
Amiga? NO! The game-swappers are as
bad as the crackers! Many
Scene-members swap cracked games in
addition to the normal
Scene-productions. They are the
main-reason why the games get as wide
spread as they do.
The game-companies are very important
for the Scene. If they decide to stop
making games for the Amiga, that means
less sold Amigas. The majority of
people who buy Amigas, buy them to
play games on. That's a fact! But as
these Amiga-owners grow up, they get
bored by only playing games, so they
join the Scene. So, if the
game-production on the Amiga stops,
that means that the Scene won't get
new members, and sooner or later,
die!!!! Is that what you want,
game-swappers? If you realize that
YOU destroy the Scene, please stop
game-swapping! With a reduction of
the spreading of cracked games to a
minimum, I'm convinced that the
crackers will stop, too, and maybe
start producing demos. That would be
better, wouldn't it?
To an end, I will just recommend all
game-swappers and crackers to stop
their activities, and focus on the
normal Scene-productions. Keep the
Scene alive, stop the illegal
game-cracking!
